Episode 46 – Size Doesn’t Matter

Hathorr from The Low Pop WoW Podcast joins us today to talk about life on a low population server and running a guild in that environment. Hathorr provides some great tips on keeping a guild progression focused, while ensuring members of all skill levels, time commitments, and play styles feel welcome and included in guild activities. Guild masters and members alike can all take something away from this episode to help make their guild experience an enjoyable one. When it’s all said and done, Hend and Rob come to realize that healthy, thriving guilds can exist anywhere and when it comes to servers, size truly does not matter! That’s what she said! Honest!

  1. Hey guys, long time no comment 😉

Just want to say I really enjoyed the interview with Hathorr. Loads of good leadership / guild management advice. There really are a lot of transferable skills from real life to WOW and vice-versa. Actually, that would be a good episode idea. What skills can WOW bring to your life.

My guild uses a Facebook page for our communication. Because we are small and so close nit, we need see the need for a website / forum. If I need to recruit someone a chat on mumble is fine. We have our group set up so that it is closed (you can’t join without an invite and when you post in there your friends don’t see your posts in their news feed). Also, you don’t have to be Facebook friends with all the people in the group. People you aren’t friends with will only be able to see based on your own privacy settings.

I find its great for scheduling and posting boss strats. Good show. Cheers,

    ~Elamari
