When you ding level 90 make sure to queue for the Arena of Annihilation scenario. There is a quest with this scenario that rewards an item level 450 weapon. This is a good stepping stone to set you up for heroics OR if your item level is just a bit short, it should pull you over so you can queue with the LFD tool.
